The Richard B. Brandt Collection of historic cameras听documents the rise of photography as a popular pastime and essential tool for recording听memories.听Eastman Kodak听Company, the听manufacturer of听most of the cameras in the collection,听led developments in making photography an accessible and affordable technology.听Kodak鈥檚 advertising campaigns of the 1890s through the 1950s became part of American popular culture, including the 鈥淜odak girl,鈥� 鈥淭ake a Kodak with you,鈥� and 鈥�You听push the button,听飞别鈥檒濒听do the rest.鈥�听This听exhibition听shows how听innovations in听technology, business, and visual culture听shaped听modern听American life听from the late nineteenth century to the 1950s.听听
