For 30 years, LaJoyce was the driving force behind Otterbein鈥檚 Gospel Choir. She voluntarily provided accompaniment, selected and arranged music, and openly welcomed all students to perform. She often served as a mother-figure, listener, and spiritual leader for her students. She shares her musical talents and life skills as a teacher at Brice Christian Academy and A-Plus Arts Academy, and she has directed performances for Columbus Children鈥檚 Theatre. She holds degrees from Wilberforce University and American Intercontinental University.
